These pages are devoted to Local Records Centre matters (aka Biological Records Centres)

In 2004 NFBR Council felt that many Local Records Centres received membership benefits which individual recorders do not. It therefore seemed appropriate to LRCs to make a greater contribution to the Federation's running costs.

In 2005 the NFBR introduced a new category of "Organisational Membership". See Membership page for full details.

Thursday 1 October 2009 saw the formal launch of the Association of Local Environmental Records Centres (ALERC). After several years of planning, the Association, which is constituted as a Community Interest Company, is now open to members from the Local Records Centre (LRC) community.
