I work for Natural England on the Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment Programme where I have a focus on improving access to biodiversity data to provide the high-quality evidence that we need to support environmental policy and decision-making. I manage Natural England's work with NBN and BRC, and work with many of the national recording schemes and societies.

My background is in business analysis and systems design and outside of my professional role I still have a strong interest in biological recording and making best use of the data generated by the wonderful community of recorders we have in the UK. I run BUBO Listing and Pan-species Listing, and am a volunteer guide for RSPB at Pagham Harbour: anything to encourage people to get out watching and recording nature!
